Privacy

Short version: this site has no accounts, no shopping basket, no newsletter and no comment form. There is nothing here to log into and nothing here to fill in, so there is very little to collect.

What this site collects

• Ordinary server request data: the page requested, the time, an IP address, a browser user-agent and a referring page. This is what any web server records in order to serve a page and to notice when something is broken.
• Aggregate traffic counts, so we know which pages are read and which are not. These are counts, not profiles: they do not identify a visitor and we do not attempt to join them to anything else.

What it does not collect

• No names, addresses, phone numbers or payment details. There is no form on this site that asks for any of them.
• No accounts and no passwords.
• No advertising pixels or cross-site tracking cookies placed by us.
• No sale or transfer of visitor data to anyone, for any purpose.

Links that leave this site

Every buy button opens a product page on our retail partner's site. Once you are there you are subject to their privacy policy, not ours, and they will know you arrived from here. That is how the affiliate arrangement described in our disclosure works, and it is the same mechanism whether you buy anything or not.

Email

An email to hello@odokee.org is kept for as long as it takes to answer it and for a reasonable period afterwards in case the conversation continues. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list, because we do not run one.

Children

This site is written for adults buying household electronics. We do not knowingly collect anything from children and there is nothing here designed to.
